Apple comes from an enchanted apple orchard hidden deep within Emerald Forest. Her parents are world-renowned archers who specialize in hunting and trapping, and they taught Apple everything she knows about archery and nature. Apple had a wandering spirit just like her father so she was always going off on adventures to explore new places.

One day while Apple was out exploring the neighboring mountain range, the Slime Queen’s army ambushed the orchard and converted it into a desolate Slime wasteland. While trying to protect their home, Apple’s parents were turned into hideous Slime monsters. With a heavy heart and a loaded bow, Apple journeys to Slime Castle in order to find a way to change her parents back.

Apple is normally very timid and gentle, but she turns into a fierce fighter when she or her loved ones are in danger. She is very adventurous and resourceful, and uses her vast knowledge about nature to aid her in exploring unknown territories.

Aurum comes from a long line of world-famous alchemists. Tons of ancient alchemy techniques and family secrets have been culminating for many decades, and this valuable knowledge has been passed down from generation to generation. Being the most recent generation of alchemists, Aurum and his two siblings work diligently in order to make their parents proud and bring honor to the family name.

In an ancient text from the family library, there is a passage about the properties of enchanted slime and how it can be turned into the rarest of metals. To this day, no one has managed to successfully transmute it. Aurum’s older brother Altin set off to find some enchanted slime in Slime Castle, but he returned severely injured and empty-handed. Now it is up to Aurum to venture into Slime Castle to finish what his brother started and prove his skills as an alchemist.

Aurum is known to goof around a lot, but is very determined when things get serious. He will stop at nothing to defend his family and bring honor to his family name. Aurum’s alchemical skills come in very handy when it comes to manipulating objects to fit his needs.

Barrel hails from a small tribe of barbarians who live on an icy plateau high atop the Snowy Mountains. Being both the youngest and the smallest child out of nine brothers and sisters, Barrel often has a hard time standing out from his siblings. He was always considered the runt of the family, which inspired him to become bigger, better, and stronger than all of his brothers and sisters.

The barbarians have always had a deep hatred towards the Slime Queen ever since her army ambushed the barbarians’ village and stole one of the tribe’s sacred artifacts. Barrel saw this as a chance to finally prove himself, both to his family and his tribe. Armed with his trusty axe, Barrel set off to Slime Castle with one goal in mind: steal something important to the Slime Queen as payback.

Barrel may seem tough and mean on the outside, but on the inside he is a gentle giant. He only unleashes his inner anger when provoked by an enemy, but normally he wouldn’t hurt a fly. Barrel compensates for his lack of critical thinking skills with his brute strength and intimidation.

When Coral was a baby, her mother couldn’t afford to raise her so she left Coral on the steps of Adder Abbey. The nuns gladly took Coral in and raised her. Through the nun’s teachings, Coral learned that helping others was the most important thing in life. The kindness that surrounded Coral inspired her to become a cleric when she got older. The priestesses in the abbey taught her how to heal people through a mixture of prayer and medicine.

One night, a sickly stranger visited the abbey in hopes of finding a cure for his ailment. He said that the symptoms appeared after his village was attacked by the Slime Queen’s army. The stranger’s condition worsened the next day: he became even more slime-like and started to become aggressive. In order to save his life, Coral heads to Slime Castle in hopes of finding a cure.

Coral has always been very kind, optimistic, and a little bit absent-minded. Her motherly instincts and her big heart are what make her a great cleric. Coral specializes in healing prayers and herbal medicine which gives her an edge when it comes to survival.

Ever since he was little, Knick wanted to become a knight and serve under the King of Barkingham. After years of training with his father and perfecting the art of swordfighting, Knick was officially sworn into knighthood. He worked very hard to move up the ranks, and he eventually became the lead general of the king’s army.

Many kingdoms have already fallen victim to the Slime Queen’s army, and the king is afraid that Barkingham will be next. The king discovered in an ancient scroll that one of the Slime Queen’s treasures is the key to defeating her. He has sent Knick on a one-man mission to invade Slime Castle and retrieve the treasure, and Knick has no intentions of returning empty-handed.

Knick is very confident in his swordfighting skills and his top-notch armor, which leads him to underestimate the enemy sometimes. He is also very dedicated and loyal to his king, treating him like a second father. Knick is known to crack jokes and terrible puns from time to time.

Nori is an aspiring ninja who comes from a seaside village on Knot Atoll. Growing up right next to the ocean gave Nori a unique set of skills including agile swimming abilities, increased breath capacity underwater, and a mastery of several fishing styles. Nori is constantly training day and night and honing their skills to become a better ninja. This leaves Nori with no time to relax or make friends. After Nori finishes their training, they hope to finally have some free time to enjoy the island lifestyle with some new friends.

In order to finish their ninja training, Nori has to pass the final test: infiltrate a secured place and steal something of value using various ninja skills. All of the other students chose easy and obvious places to infiltrate, but Nori wanted to be set apart from the others. That is why Nori chose one of the most heavily guarded place in the world as their target: Slime Castle.

Nori is very goal-oriented and will stop at nothing to complete the task at hand. Nori is also a very calculated fighter, focusing on making every move quick and precise. They combine traditional ninja techniques with nautical nuances to form a unique and unpredictable style of fighting.

Simone was born into a clan of seers who have been practicing ancient divination techniques for hundreds of years. She began her divination training at an early age, but she was always causing trouble during the lessons and misusing her psychic abilities. After several years of strict training, Simone decided to run away from the village and learn divination on her own.

After honing her psychic abilities, Simone began to use her powers to perform various jobs as a hired thief. During one of these jobs, Simone encountered one of the Slime Queen’s henchmen. While subduing the slime, Simone had a powerful vision of the Slime Queen using one of her artefacts to turn Simone into an obedient servant. In order to save herself from this terrible fate, Simone travels to Slime Castle to steal and destroy the artifact before it’s too late.

Simone has grown to be tough and independent after many years of living on her own. However, that doesn’t stop her from being sociable and friendly to complete strangers. Simone has developed her psychic abilities to be able to know her opponent’s every move before they make them.

Abandoned when he was a little child, Thomas had to grow up in the world all by himself. Atro City was filled with lowlifes and criminals so he had to learn how to become better than all of them in order to survive. After successfully completing his first heist, stealing a thimble from an arts and crafts store, Thomas began going by the name ‘Thimble’ and the name stuck ever since. After many years of living alone, Thimble perfected his thieving skills and became one of the most infamous thieves in the city.

The word on the street is that people are willing to pay top dollar for one of the Slime Queen’s treasures on the black market. The problem is that Slime Castle is one of the most heavily-guarded fortresses in the world. However, no challenge is too great for Thimble so he set out to infiltrate Slime Castle to test his thievery skills and hopefully make a fortune.

Thimble is not the humblest person, often bragging about the great heists he’s pulled off in the past. He doesn’t trust anyone else and prefers to work alone. Thimble’s skills really shine when it comes to his dirty fighting skills, persuasive tactics, and stealthiness.

Willis has always had an affinity towards magic and the unexplained. Strange occurrences such as levitating books and disappearing furniture were happening around him every day. One day, Willis was approached by an old sorceress who was interested in unlocking his true magical potential. She took Willis under her wing and began to teach him everything about his powers. Willis proved to be a quick learner, and was always eager to learn more about magic.

The sorceress had many stories about ancient magicks and mystical artefacts, including one about the Slime Queen’s treasures. The treasures were so mysterious that even the sorceress had no idea about the powers they held. This particular story sparked Willis’ curiosity so much that he set off on a quest to retrieve one of the treasures and learn about its secrets.

Willis may come off as a nervous person, but he is actually a very skilled wizard. He can think quickly and adapt during high pressure situations. Willis focuses on using his magical abilities for solving puzzles, thinking out of the box, and getting out of sticky situations rather than fighting.
